Faculty Advisor | Tom Phillips
Tom is our faculty advisor. He became the BAP Faculty Advisory because he wanted to work with students outside of the classroom.
Tom is a lecturer in accounting at the Foster School of Business. He got his MBA from the University of Washington, passed the CPA exam, and worked as a forensic auditor for 11 years. Tom began working as a financial data analyst at the UW in 2003 and started teaching at the Foster School full time in 2012.
He enjoys spending most of his free time hiking with his wife, Renee.
Tom’s message to students:
This is your time….make the most of the opportunities at your disposal while you are still in college. Learn a lot, have fun, make tons of friends, explore career options, etc. This is a magical time in your life so try not to let the temporary stress of exams, papers, etc. detract from your joy!
